Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
One of the men in my church recently handed me a book of blueprints of homes that he builds. He wanted me to go through the blueprints just to see what type of homes he offers to people. As I went through the book, every home was thought out before the property was purchased. Before there was ever a place for that home to be built, somebody took the time to predesign a plan for that home to be built.
God does the same for every individual life. Your life is no mistake. It doesn't matter how your life came to be; you are a predesigned plan from God. The difference between the person who drew those plans for a house to be built and your life is that God knows where your life will be, and He has a plan for it. Let me point out several things about God’s predesigned plan for your life.
First, before you knew God, He knew you and planned your life to be used to the greatest potential if followed. God says, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee…” You were not even conceived in the womb, and yet God knew you. He knew what circumstances your life would be brought into this world, but that would be no mistake with His plan for your life. The fact that God knew you before you were conceived should bring confidence that God is interested in your life and that He loves you.
Second, God set you apart for a specific purpose. God continues to say, “…before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee…” God’s purpose for your life will always be greater than any purpose you can design yourself. God designed your life with an end purpose; you can only design your life with an immediate viewpoint. I would trust God’s viewpoint of my life much more than I would ever trust my own skewed and very limited viewpoint of my life. You may think you know what is best for your life, but you don't because you can’t see the end of your life. For God to know the end of your life and have it all planned should encourage and motivate you to accept that His plan is best. Let me ask you, does God love you? Of course He does! So, if God loves you, don't you think that His end plan for your life is best? Second-guessing the plan that God has for your life is to second-guess His love and providence of what He already sees what is best for your life. Stop second-guessing the plan of God for your life and trust Him because He sees the end of where His plan is taking you.
Third, God’s predesigned plan is His orders for your life. God continues to say, “…I ordained thee…” The word “ordained” means to order as a commanding officer would order those beneath him to do something. God does give you a free will to do what you want to do, but to do your will instead of His will is to disobey Him even if your will is not bad. Any will that you do but God’s will is not the right will for you to do. You are not to live in your parent’s will or any other’s will; you are to live in God’s will.
My friend, you will never be happy in your life until you do what God predesigned you to be and do. God’s predesigned plan for your life is what will make your life the most effective and produce the greatest impact if followed. Burn your dreams and follow God’s predesigned plan for your life; it is only His plan where you will find true fulfillment in life.
