Numbers 12:1
And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
When I was a boy, my mother forbid me to touch some things. For instance, she forbade us to touch the burners on the stove because she did not want us to get burnt when it was hot. She forbid us from touching the electrical plugs on the wall because she did not want us to get hurt from an electrical shock. My mother was not being cruel in these areas, but she was simply trying to protect us.
There are some things that no person should do because if they do them, they will have to deal directly with God. Some things God deals with, and for anyone to think they have a right to step in and say something against these things that is God’s responsibility is to say that God is not doing His job correctly. Imagine telling God that He is doing a bad job in dealing with His responsibilities. It is a mighty arrogant person to think they can tell God that He needs to do a better job with His responsibilities. Let me share some things you need to leave alone if you don't want to face God’s chastening hand.
First, leave God’s man alone. Miriam and Aaron thought they could correct Moses, but they soon found out that God corrected them. You might recall the boys who thought it was humorous to make fun of Elisha, but you will also recall how God sent she bears to eat these boys. Just because we don't live in Bible times does not mean God has relinquished His responsibility to correcting men of God. You must never be the one who tries to destroy a man of God; it is God’s area to deal with those men He has called. Yes, God tells us in the Scriptures how to deal with men of God who are living in sin, but only the local church must follow those guidelines. I have watched many people in my lifetime who have paid a dear price because they did something against God’s man. Don't think you can speak against God’s man and not have to deal with God.
Second, leave God’s church alone. Ananias and Sapphira thought they could hurt the early church, but God showed His displeasure by killing them. In Revelation chapters 2 and 3, we see that God is the One who correct or rebukes a church. You better be very careful about trying to destroy a church. Just because you were a member of a church and have left with a disgruntled attitude does not give you the right to attempt to destroy it. I can testify about people I have watched who faced God’s judgment because they tried to hurt a fruit-bearing church. When you leave a church, you need to let God deal with what you feel that church is not doing right. Don't make it your agenda to hurt that church.
Third, never blaspheme the Holy Spirit. God has always dealt severely with those who blasphemed His Holy Spirit. God’s Holy Spirit has always been there to try to bring you to Christ, and to blaspheme the Holy Spirit who has put up with your sins is a sure way to experience God’s judgment.
My friend, there are some things that are God’s areas to deal with; you would be wise to steer clear of meddling in these areas and let God do His own work to correct them. We have too much to correct in our own lives to try to meddle in areas that are God’s to correct. Stay focused on changing what you need to change in your life, and you will be too busy to notice what others need to change.
