Matthew 13:32
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
The power the kingdom of Heaven can have in ones life is amazing in that it can turn them from the least to the greatest. Jesus taught a parable where He said the kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that was the least of all seeds. However, just because it was the least didn't mean it had to stay the least. Instead, it grew and became the greatest among herbs and eventually became a tree so that the birds have a place to make their nests and lodge.
The difference between the power of the world and the power of God is that the world takes something great and makes it the least; whereas, God takes that which is least and makes it great. If you were to ask me which power I would rather let work in my life, I would rather let the power of God work in my life. God has the power to take a grain that is the least of all seeds and turn it into a great herb and an eventual tree that not only feeds people, but gives people a place to come and lodge in.
My friend, you don't have to be much for God to take your life and make something great out of it. All it takes is for you to give the little you have to God for Him to begin to work in your life. I would hate to be saved and waste the power within me that can take my life and turn it into something great. God is the master of taking the least and turning it into the greatest. He took Gideon and three hundred men and used them to defeat the thousands in the Midianite army. He took the disciples who were unlearned men in religion and used them to lead the greatest movement of all that turned a world upside down for God. He took a stuttering Moses whose past record would have classified him as a felon and turned him into one of the greatest leaders of history. There is nothing in your past that will hinder God from turning your least into the greatest. There is no frailty in your life that God cannot use to turn your least into the greatest.
The keys to turning your life from the least to the greatest are simply giving what you have to God and allowing Him to grow you into the greatest version of you that you can be. If you don't give what you have to God, He cannot take your least and turn it into the greatest. You can live a subpar life by trying to be accepted by the crowd, and never realize the potential you have inside of you. Inside of you is great potential, but it is wasted if you don't give yourself to God.
Moreover, you must grow from where you are before God can make you into the greatest person you can be. Too many sit and wait to do something when they feel they are something great, but you cannot become that until you start growing. The mustard seed became a tree by growing from the least of the seeds. You must grow from where you are if you are to see the potential inside of you.
Furthermore, you cannot grow if you are not feeding on that which allows you to grow. You grow in the Christian life through reading God’s Word, praying, soul winning, and serving God in the ministry. God wants to help you realize the greatest version of you that you can be, but He cannot do it if you don't feed on that which makes you grow. Don't waste your potential; give yourself to God and do what it takes to grow, and the power of God will help you become the greatest version of you that God intends for you to be.
