Reaching Much People

post-title

Acts 18:10 “For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.”

Every believer should see that there are much people in their city that need to be reached with the Gospel. I live in the Oklahoma City area, and there are over 1.4 million people in our metroplex that need to hear the Gospel. Needless to say, there are much people in this city. Each of these people have a soul that needs to be reached. Each of these people have problems that only Christ can resolve. Each of these people have burdens they are carrying. Each of these people need to know that someone cares for them. Each of these people need to hear that God loves them. You see, each of these people live in a world that the only out for them is drugs, alcohol, gangs, and abominable lifestyles, and the only answer for them is found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If we are going to reach much people, there are several things each believer needs to do.

First, you will never reach much people without recognizing that each person has a soul that will spend an eternity in either Heaven or Hell. Sometimes, we see much people without seeing that much people are made up of individual souls that need a Saviour. I can look at the 1.4 million in my city and say they need a Saviour, but that won’t stir my heart to reach them until I see that the 1.4 million are individual souls that need a Saviour.

Second, you must not be afraid if you are going to reach much people. Jesus says in verse 9, “Be not afraid…” Don’t be afraid of what they might say or do, but let faith move you to go. Many don't tell others about Christ because they are afraid of rejection, but the importance of every person hearing the Gospel must cause you not to be afraid. Fear always holds back the believer from reaching people for Christ. What you don't realize is that the people you are afraid of would listen to you if you simply told them the Gospel.

Third, you will never reach much people until you speak. Verse 9 says, “Be not afraid, but speak…” People cannot hear without someone speaking. A silent Gospel has never saved one soul from Hell, but a spoken Gospel has reached millions for Christ. You are the one to speak this Gospel. Much people will never be reached until you start speaking Christ’s Gospel to every person you see.

Fourth, you will never reach much people until you stop holding your peace. You may ask, “When is the right time to tell someone to get saved?” The right time to tell someone to get saved is NOW! There is no bad time to tell people when to get saved. Stop holding your peace to wait for the right time to tell someone to get saved and speak to them about the Gospel. You don't know when the last time will be for them to have an opportunity to hear the Gospel.

Fifth, realize that God is with you. Jesus says in verse 10, “For I am with thee…” My friend, Jesus does not send you alone to tell much people about Him, but He sends His Holy Spirit along with you to speak through you. You must understand that you are simply the mouthpiece for the Holy Spirit to speak through, and when you hold your peace, you are silencing the Holy Spirit. Please don't hold your hand over the mouth of the Holy Spirit by holding your peace, but open your mouth and speak to the lost, and you will find that much people will be saved.
